Refund policy

If you are unhappy with your purchase, we will gladly assist you with your return and/or exchange. Please contact us at contact@futurekimonos.com

Returns and/or exchanges will only be accepted for unwashed, unworn merchandise with original tags and packaging within 30 days from the date of receipt. All returns or exchanges will be at the discretion of FUTURE. Any item(s) returned that does not meet the aforementioned criteria, will not be eligible for return and/or exchange (i.e., item appears dirty, smell of cigarette smoke or detergent, covered in animal dander or deodorant marks, have visible signs of wear, etc.).

Accessories and special order items are non-returnable. 

Once an order has shipped, shipping and handling charges are non-refundable. Returns are processed within 5-10 business days upon receipt of your return. You will receive an email confirmation when your refund has been issued. 

We highly recommend shipping with insurance coverage and transit tracking. FUTURE is not responsible for missing, damaged, or packages lost in transit. Customers are responsible for all return shipping charges, as well as, shipping charges associated with exchanges.

Returns and Exchanges are only accepted for purchases made directly from FUTURE or authorized distributors. We will not accept any claims for returns or exchanges from third parties. 

In the case where an order includes custom or made to order or back order items, a cancellation fee of $5 will apply if the order is cancelled within 5 days of the purchase date. Beyond 5 days, custom and made to order or back order items are non refundable. 

You acknowledge that when purchasing a made to order, back order or custom item as stated in the items product description, there is a manufacturing process associated to this item before it is shipped. This time period is typically 4-6 weeks from the date of purchase. Once an order is placed, a custom item, made to order item or back order item is made specifically for you at your specification as stated in the product description and is non-refundable. 

Extended Production Delays Refund Policy:

We are committed to delivering the highest quality products and ensuring the satisfaction of our customers. We understand that on rare occasions, production may experience delays beyond the anticipated timeframe. In recognition of this possibility, we offer a special provision for orders that are delayed beyond 12 weeks from the original order date.

Customers experiencing such delays are eligible for a choice between a full refund of the purchase price or a gift card to the full value of their original order. Furthermore, as a gesture of our commitment to customer satisfaction, affected customers will be allowed to keep the products when they are eventually sent, at no additional cost.

This policy is our way of acknowledging the inconvenience caused by extended delays and reaffirming our dedication to your satisfaction. Should you find yourself in this situation, please contact our customer service team, who will guide you through the process to claim your refund or gift card.

Policy on Wear and Damage from Use and Washing:

At Future Kimonos, we are dedicated to offering products that stand for quality and durability. Our rash guards are crafted from premium materials, each subjected to comprehensive quality control checks before they enter production, ensuring they meet our high standards of excellence.

We want to make our customers aware that our return and refund policy does not cover damage such as scratches, pilling (fiber pulling), or compromised stitching resulting from normal wear and tear or improper washing. This includes damages that may occur during training or even after the first use, in conditions involving elements like Velcro, fingernails, or being excessively pulled, which can immediately affect the garment's integrity. Similarly, items damaged in the washing process, due to being washed with abrasive materials or not following the specific care instructions provided, are also not eligible for return or refund. These conditions are indicative of the rigorous use and care environments rash guards are exposed to, which, although beyond our control, are likely to happen.

Please be aware that damages arising from these circumstances, which occur even after just one use or wash, are considered a result of external forces or improper care rather than manufacturing defects. As such, we cannot offer refunds or returns for products showing signs of wear including pilling, scratches, or unraveling of stitches, whether from training or washing.

We strongly encourage our customers to follow the garment care instructions provided with each product to ensure its longevity and maintain its quality.
